Company Founders

Val Rayzman

CEO

Val is a 20-year veteran of the data management industry with a track record of entrepreneurial and management success. Prior to X15, Val was the founder and CEO of DVO Software, which pioneered the field of automated data testing and validation. DVO achieved rapid growth, was acquired by Informatica Corp. in 2010 and is used by hundreds of customers worldwide to ensure the quality and consistency of their enterprise data. Previously, Val spent ten years at Informatica leading strategy and corporate development efforts. Val holds a BS in Computer Science from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Vinayak Borkar

CTO and EVP of Engineering

Vinayak is responsible for all development activities and brings 15 years of technical leadership in the area of big data and parallel computing. Prior to X15, Vinayak was the CTO and head of engineering at DVO Software as well as the inventor and lead contributor of Hyracks, an open-source parallel data processing platform. He began his career at BEA Systems, where he led the development of the first XQuery-based data integration platform. Vinayak was the recipient of the Facebook Fellowship award for his contribution in the area of large-scale data management and holds an MS in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a PhD. in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.

Ron Papas

EVP of Field Operations

Ron has overall responsibility for Sales and Business Development and brings over 25 years of data management experience at companies like Informatica and Sybase where he held a number of leadership roles in Sales, Business Development and General Management. He joined Informatica in 1996 as the first sales person and has seen the company grow from $0 to $1 billion during his tenure. More recently, he built and managed Informatica’s Cloud business from inception into the leading Cloud Integration Service in the industry with 1,000+ customers. Ron started his career as a Software Engineer, and holds a BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
